Frequently asked questions
Every application goes through an assessment process. Simple eligibility checks (like requested amount or product fit) can be automatic, but risk flags are routed to a person for review rather than triggering an automatic decline.
Yes, but each product is assessed separately based on your ability to repay across everything you already owe.
No. The calculator gives a rough, clearly-labelled estimate. Your actual pricing and terms are confirmed in a written offer after assessment.
For some products, yes — for example paying a supplier or school directly. This is confirmed as part of your specific offer, not guaranteed for every application.
Contact ProActive as early as possible. Specific collections and hardship processes are still being finalised — see docs/known-policy-pending.md.
Eligibility depends on the specific product, but generally considers your age, a verifiable source of income, your employment or business status, and valid identification. Some products also look at a specific order, invoice, or asset.
Having your identification, proof of income, and any product-specific document (like a purchase order, invoice, or fee statement) ready before you apply generally makes assessment faster and smoother.
Credit history can be one input into assessment, but it is not the only one — for products like Purchase Order Finance or Invoice Bridging, the strength of the underlying order or invoice also matters.
Map your repayment dates against your expected income before you borrow, keep a small buffer, and contact ProActive early if you expect a repayment to be difficult. See our Money Guide for more detail.
Any existing commitments are considered as part of affordability assessment for a new application — borrowing responsibly now generally supports easier access to finance later.
Assessment times depend on the product, the documents supplied, and the verification required. We do not publish a fixed turnaround time because it genuinely varies by application.
